Bellevue School District draws an attendance boundary for each of its neighborhood elementary, middle, and high schools. An address falls inside exactly one boundary at each level, and that assignment is the default enrollment for that address. Elementary boundaries feed into middle school boundaries, and middle schools feed into one of four boundary high schools: Bellevue, Interlake, Newport, and Sammamish.
Two schools on this site work differently. International School and Big Picture School are choice schools. They have no attendance boundary. Enrollment is by application, and when applications exceed seats the district uses a lottery. An address does not secure a seat at either one, so a purchase made around a choice school is made around a commute, not a boundary.

Feeder neighborhoods are listed as a starting point for the search. Boundaries do not follow neighborhood names exactly, and a single street can sit on a line. The address lookup, not the neighborhood, is the answer.
Boundary-check checklist before you offer
- Run the address through the district lookup. Do it for the exact street address on the listing, not the nearest cross street, and save the result with the date.
- Confirm with the district directly. For a home on or near a boundary line, call or email the district's enrollment office and get the assignment in writing before the contingency deadlines pass.
- Assume boundaries can change. The district revises attendance areas when schools open, close, or reach capacity. A current assignment is a fact about today, not a guarantee about a future school year.
- Read the listing's school field as a claim. MLS school fields are entered by the listing broker and are not verified by the district. A mismatch between listing and lookup is a reason to ask.
